This December we were fortunate to return to Reigate College, a long running supporter of our programmes. We were working with A Level aspiring medics to introduce anatomy through dissection to support their studies and facility the transition to medical school. Many students have or were applying the Medicine A100 course via UCAS. We had a great day!
Liz Sanders, Head of the College’s MVD Programme explained, “Premed Anatomy is a day-long immersive experience designed for aspiring Medics, Vets, Dentists, Biologists and Health and Social Care students. It gives participants the opportunity to take on the role of a trauma doctor and dissect real specimens, led by an experienced human anatomist.”
She added, “As well as giving students the chance to experience real surgery, they also learn more about how organs function, and boost their understanding of how the human body works. It’s also a great way for prospective medics to find out how squeamish they are!”
